Motivated and passionate teachers (in-service or pursuing an education degree) who are seeking to be a beacon of change in the teaching community and committed to improving grassroot education.
What is Niiv Fellowship?
Niiv Fellowship is an intensive, year-long, cohort-based learning opportunity for teachers working at the grassroot or primary level. The fellows will stay in their jobs and during the fellowship will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and tools to transform education at the grassroot and primary level.
Delivered online, the fellows will become part of a lively community post the fellowship period.
Why did Niiv decide to offer the fellowship?
Based on our work with thousands of teachers across the nation, we came across a lot of motivated Teachers and we at Niiv decided to equip the teachers working with marginal students and primary school students with an opportunity to learn from the award-winning teachers and make their classrooms citadels of learning and future India.
Niiv fellowship has been designed for educators working at the grassroot level and/or at the primary level.

The Fellows will undergo
- Sessions with award winning mentors and experts to solve the most pressing real-time class-room related problems, and turn them into opportunities to aid learning.
- A specially designed ‘Eureka for Educator’ and ‘School Leadership 101’ program (delivered via video interactions and recorded videos).
- Access to Niiv’s ‘Eureka for Educator’ resources during the fellowship period.
- Special access to online courses, learning platforms, and information on learning opportunities.
- Join the cohort and motivated group of Niiv Fellows for lifetime.
Structure of the Fellowship
Year 1
- Join a motivated and handpicked group of educators in a transformative year-long experience.
- Work closely with your cohort and mentors to acquire real world skills to solve real world problems.
- Lead innovation at your workplace by acquiring skills in teaching, learning and personal excellence.
- Part-time & Virtual* - you stay in your job.
- 5 to 6 hours of learning commitment every month.
- Be a part of a lifelong fellowship that extends beyond your first year.
- Share your experience with upcoming cohorts and make this world a better place.
- *Though delivered virtually, we would love to host local meet-ups whenever feasible. For we believe, ‘Better Learning Happens Together.’
Beyond Year 1
Who can be a Niiv Fellow?
- An educator with a drive to make this world a better place - one child at a time.
- The fellowship is open for Indian, Nepalese, Bhutanese nationals working as educators, schools leaders, *pursuing an education degree (B.Ed or equivalent from a recognized University, and in their final year).
- The applicants must be below the age of 35 years on the date of application deadline.
- Minimum Qualification for applicants is Graduation from a recognized institution in India (or SAARC countries).
- Language(s) comfortable in: English & Hindi (preferred but not mandatory).

Composed of eminent educationists, the Jury panel will screen your application (we don’t like this word though); and share mentorship advice to help you design your career.

FAQs
Niiv Fellowship is an intensive, year-long, cohort-based learning opportunity for teachers working at the grassroot or primary level.
The fellows will work closely with mentors, and their cohort to acquire skills that will enable them to grow as an individual, teacher, and a school leader through a thoughtfully curated learning program.
Fellows will acquire specific skills in (but not limited to) holistic teacher development, leadership mentoring, impact creation, and teaching learning tools.
Indian, Nepalese, Bhutanese Nationals working as educators, schools leaders *pursuing an education degree (B.Ed or equivalent from a recognized University, and in their final year).
Age: Below or of 35 years on the date of application deadline.
Minimum Qualification: Graduation from a recognized institution in India (or SAARC countries).
Language(s) comfortable in: English & Hindi (preferred but not mandatory)
Commitment of 60 hours throughout the year.
At the heart of Niiv’s philosophy lies our belief in Holistic Teacher Development. The specially designed ‘Eureka for Educators’ Program for this fellowship is based on the ‘Four E’s (Excellence, Efficiency, Empowerment, Enable)’ that form the crux of this fellowship.
We strongly believe that a confident, empowered and motivated Teacher can bring real change in the lives of their Students.
The application timelines for the 2022 cohort is as below:
Step 1: Application Submission

Step 2: Interact with the Niiv Team
15th October, 2022 – 31st October, 2022.
Step 3: Interact with the Jury
15th November, 2022 – 30th November, 2022.

After Selection:
- NOC from the employer.
Niiv will share the fellowship structure, an official selection letter to help facilitate the process.
- Average cohort strength is 15-20 teachers.
- As this is a part-time fellowship, we do not provide any stipend/grants/fundings or scholarships.
- The fellowship has a minimum attendance requirement of 100%. The selected teachers must attend all meetings/seminars and complete the project work within deadlines. We make exceptions for emergencies on a case-to-case basis.
- To encourage diversity and equitable participation, we permit a maximum of 2 selected applicants, from the same organization.
- Niiv does not provide any post-Fellowship job placements.
